Genuine antique carbide miner’s lamp, brass construction, marked “Auto-Lite” and “Universal Lamp Co. Chicago” on the reflector back. Includes the brass cap hook and reflector dish (hinged, opens for maintenance). Calcium carbide went in the bottom chamber, water in the top — a controlled drip created acetylene gas for the flame.
