This very nice HO gauge two car railcar set by Liliput is 125 02 a DR VT 137 in red & cream livery with running numbers 137 100 & 145 102. 55 vehicles survived the war, of which 23 remained in the territory of the later Deutsche Bundesbahn, 23 in the territory of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, one in the territory of Czechoslovakia, two in France and six in Norway.
Region of Origin: Germany (Thuringia – Rudolstadt). The porcelain case bears acrossed swords mark with an “R”, associated with theRudolstadt region of Thuringia, Germany. Production Technique: Hand-modelled and hand-painted porcelain.
It was made in September 1954. I cleaned the bearings and oiled them and it ran nicely. It performs one Bim Bam on the half hour and the hour number on the hour. I stripped the clock down and cleaned the Bakelite with ultra fine wire wool and wax polish.
