Villeroy & Bosch “Toys Fantasy” Red Star-Shaped Small (6″) Candy Dish/Bowl

This is a sweet red candy dish or bowl made by Villeroy & Boch. It is star-shaped with a Teddy Bear with a Santa hat, scarf and leaning against a package on the bottom of the dish. The sides are red with very small pictures of Christmas items such as trees, nutcrackers, Santa hats, ice skates, etc. The dish is about 6 inches in diameter, and about 1 1/2 inches high. It says “Villeroy & Boch, 1748” on the bottom. It is in excellent used condition, with no chips. scratches, or crazing. Rare Dunbar Glass Lidded Compote or Candy Dish Early-Mid 20th Century

This is a vintage “Depression” glass compote or candy dish made by the Dunbar Glass Co. of West Virginia. Dunbar existed from 1913 to 1953 but this type of candy dish was popular in the mid 20th century. It features a hand painted flower pattern on a frosted band with white enamel lines separating it from the clear glass. The lid has a finial with gold trim. There are no chips, cracks or signs of use. Painting is intact throughout. This beautiful piece of a bygone era is in excellent condition and will be packed with great care.
