The candle cups of these were cast separately from their stems; a threaded rod was inserted through the cup bottoms and then was peened over on top to secure cups to stems. Bottom of stems are threaded. Not sure of the age these are; early 19th century at the latest, but I believe them to be late 17th to 18th century There is no damage or repair. One cup spins but is held fast by the peened shaft. The threads are in fine shape; they work and tighten nicely. And the candlesticks sit flat and pretty darn straight (one maybe has a very slight lean.About 6 1/4 inches tall, and bases are about 4 inches diameter
