EDGE MARK PACK HUNTER EXPLORER STAINLESS 21-081 JAPAN Fixed Blade Hunting Knife

By | | No Comments

EDGE MARK PACK HUNTER EXPLORER STAINLESS 21-081 JAPAN Fixed Blade Hunting Knife. The knife shows a little normal sign of age and previous use including some surface scratches to the finish of the blade. Overall it is in good solid condition and should make someone a nice little user to add to their collection. The top part of the tactical sheath is broken off missing, so know it doesn’t have a belt loop. It does still protect the blade and has slots where it could be strapped on your leg. Again should make someone a nice user grade knife. You will receive exactly what is pictured. Thank you!

266 Layer Handmade Damascus Knife DIY 6.5″ Blank + Brass Guard + Sheath SHARP

By | | No Comments

DIY, for people that want to craft their own handle. Encapsulated (Hidden) tang with one hole – no welds. Made from a single piece of 266 layer Damascus. Blade (6-1/2″” overall, blade 4”, tang 1-5/8”, ~ 3/16″ thick, no welds, SHARP) ‘Water Pattern’ with removable brass guard & premium double stitched leather sheath (12” overall, 2-1/2” belt loop) , 7 Gauge, so very thick for a blade this size. Comments: I carry 3 different clip point Damascus knives with brass guard and leather sheath, the major difference being overall size; . Well made, rugged (handmade, as opposed to the mass produced factory made in China) with good materials and craftsmanship like custom file work on spine of blade and brass guard. Recommended! I’m a collector and a weekend warrior, active in my local HEMA group and Renaissance Fair. I sell what I own and can recommend! See my Seller ratings and but with confidence. Plus I ship fast! Manufacturer’s Description – Product Details:• All our Damascus knives have at least 266 layers during the forging process, with many of them surpassing that mark by several layers. • We use genuine brass in our bolsters, guards, and inlays. We do not use brass plated steel.• Our Damascus knives and swords are available with a variety of tangs (i.e. full or encapsulated tangs).• We currently use two combinations of steel in the forging process of our Damascus blades. Some blades will use a blending of 1074 high carbon steel and WS1 mild steel, while others use a combination of 1085 high carbon steel and 15N20 bright steel. • All our Damascus blades are Rockwell tested between 52 to 58, or higher. This determines the durability of the blade and its ability to hold a fine edge.• The Damascus knives, swords, and blanks are subject to an “acid wash” that helps accentuate the contrast between the types of steel used in the forging of the blades. Because the tang will typically be covered by whatever handle material is used, that part of the blade is generally not subject to the acid treatment. However, the pattern of the contrasting steels that is characteristic of Damascus blades will still be visible when inspected closely.

ABS high impact grip and sheath simulated wood with high gloss finish, cast zinc alloy fittings , mirror finished 440 stainless steel blade with decorative knot-work etching. Nice! ••• This is the sword that Roman Legions used to conquer large parts of the known world, in use from 3rd Century BC to 3rd Century AD. Gladii were two-edged for cutting and had a tapered point for stabbing during thrusting. A solid grip was provided by a knobbed hilt, usually with ridges for the fingers called the capulus. It was often ornate, especially the sword-hilts of officers and dignitaries. Stabbing was a very efficient technique, as stabbing wounds, especially in the abdominal area, were almost always deadly. However, the gladius in some circumstances was used for cutting or slashing, as indicated by Livy’s account of the Macedonian Wars, wherein the Macedonian soldiers were horrified to see dismembered bodies. Though the primary infantry attack was thrusting at stomach height, they were trained to take any advantage, such as slashing at kneecaps beneath the shield wall. Indeed a fearsome weapon, especially in th ehands of trained Legionaires and Gladiators. The gladius was sheathed in a scabbard mounted on a belt or shoulder strap Historic Specifications: Weight 1.5–2.2 lb (0.7–1 kg) Overall Length 24–33 in (60–85 cm ) Blade Length 18–27 in (45–68 cm ) Blade Width 2.0–2.8 in (5–7 cm )
