These prints were created 23 Years ago in Australia when Stephen was living there. Only 750 were produced as seen in the header picture. Stephen signed and numbered. This beautiful “Limited Edition” print is one of a run of only 750 prints.
The rope around this preserver ring appears to be original. U.S. Lines Cruise Liner. and has been taped in two areas to the ring itself.
Joining the Pacific Fleet, Columbus reached Tsingtao, China, on 13 January 1946 for occupation duty. For the remainder of the year, she operated in west coast waters, then made a second Far Eastern cruise from 15 January to 12 June 1947.
For you today we have an U.S. Lines Ice Cream Bowl. This bowl is footed and very showy, the Manhattan Pattern is a bit worn on this bowl, but the foot and handle are very nice. The United States Lines Silverware Service calls it a USL 104 05044A Ice Cream Saucer, 4 3/4″ Dia. This bowl has a box under it with a 56 in it for the year made. Very nice item to add to any U.S. Lines collection. Stand not included.
View looking down on a lifeboat from the top of the bridge while the ship was at Norfolk October 6, 1984. Made from the tack sharp original Kodachrome. The lifeboat doesn’t look bad for being exposed to the elements for 15 years.
For you today we have an SS United States Tea or Hot water Pot, this pot has all the signs of wear and use. This pot is a 10oz size and has an insulated handle, so it does not heat up when the pot has hot liquid in it. The United States Lines Silverware Service calls this pot USL-43 Tea or Hot Water Pot, 1 portion, 10 oz. Brim. Insulated Handle. This pot is stamped 1SD on the bottom, also it is marked US LINES 52 which means it was on the ship for her maiden voyage! Hence all of the signs of much use, not bad for 74 years old. Great addition to any SS United States collection.
For you today we have a SS United States photograph from Newport News Shipbuilding requested by a person that worked for B.P.Oil Co. in Cleveland OH. This listing comes with the photograph, the letter from Newport News Shipbuilding and the original mailer. The photograph is a classic and appears to be an older one, the date on the back is May 1952 as stamped by NNS, the letter is well written and very polite. This is a neat set and would be a great part of a SS United States collection as it shows all of the interest that so many people have in the SS United States.
