Young Sailor formal studio pose 4″ x 6″ portrait 1940s gay man’s collection1940s Brand new. Digitally edited and professionally re-printed on photo stock. From a family estate of a gentleman’s collection of gay and male related photographs and ephemera. Most items are from the early to mid 20th century and includes loose photographs as well as some pictures that were cut by the owner from an antique photo album. Digital Reprint A formal seated portrait of a very attractive young european sailor in uniform. The lighting is a bit dramatic in this picture, casting a shadow across the actual left side of his face. The expression in his eyes is as if he really wanted to smile, but did not. He has medium-tone skin and dark eyes, dark wavy hair. I have a copy of this one framed on the wall in my office because he looks so wise to be such a young man. To see the complete series of photographs in this estate collection please click here: Gay Man’s Estate Collection. A portion of the sales from my original prints are donated by eBay on my behalf to The Trevor Project. Their mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ young people. They offer crisis services, counseling, safe spaces and more. If you have the opportunity, search for online and watch the short film Trevor, on which this foundation is based. *For this type picture, I made digital repairs to the original images and had them professionally reprinted. Each of these photos is labeled at the top of the listing as “Digital Reprint” to indicate that these are not the original prints of these images. They are also priced accordingly.1 picture(s) included as part of our description. Please examine carefully before purchase.
