The stone used for this point was harvested near the ghost town of Cisco, between Arches and the Book Cliffs. The Ute and the Anasazi before them found agate and jasper not far from our collection site.

This was the land of the Wind River Shoshone. We find two very different flints at this location, in the washes we find nodules of jet black flint, and on one ridgeline we find a lens of banded flint.
