Offered is the Battery Lid for the Delta "Continuous Burning 2-Battery Electric" Lantern. These were some of the earliest flashlights, using 2 big dry cells. Made in 1914 and 1915. The lid is in fair condition with some rust spots on the top and on the inside. The Delta Electric Lantern decal on the top is mostly readable. From the top: Patent Sept 22, 1914, Feb 16, 1915, Operates on two ordinary dry batteries. These lids are often in worse shape or missing entirely. You don't see them offered very often.
