Here is a fine Solid Mahogany Tea Caddy, handcrafted at Colonial Williamsburg Restoration workshops in the mid 20th century. This caddy is a reproduction of an 18th century tea caddy in the Williamsburg Collection made ca. 1760. Hand made and hand finished of solid mahogany and adorned with cast brass bail handle and escutcheon, it has gained a fine patina. This piece is in great vintage condition, with the original key present and the lock and hinges functioning perfectly. The bottom is marked with the Colonial Williamsburg mark -it appears to be an earlier mark. It measures approximately 10-1/4” long, 6-1/2” high, and 6-1/4” deep.
