This is a 8″x8″ vintage photo of Schmidt Crater, a sharp-rimmed lunar crater measuring roughly 11 kilometers in diameter, located near the edge of the Sea of Tranquility. It was captured during the Apollo 10 mission in May 1969 as the crew flew low over the surface to scout and photograph the exact visual landmarks Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin would use to navigate during the historic Apollo 11 landing just two months later. Back of photo features the faint, genuine diagonal watermark reading “A KODAK PAPER”. Good vintage condition. Shows slight corner and edge wear commensurate with a genuine 1970s artifact. Slight yellowing as well. Please see all photos to better determine condition.
